Only sound when I Trim Avi Clip's

When I try and Trim the begining of a 20 min clip, The remaining part plays
audio only, and shows a green screen? I'm using xp and have loads of memory
in my lapotop.

When I split a 20 minute clip into three pieces and remove the middle part,
only the firsty part of the movie will play. The second part is again audio
with a green screen?

The program you are using to split is clearly no good.

It's possible the clip you are using is not ompatible with movie maker,
