Only Administrators can print with XP-Professional

I have a “HP PSC 2510 photosmart all-in-one†printer and my problem is that only “Administrators†can print

I’ve logged this call with HP but they say that my problem must be a windows configuration issue on my machine as non-Administrators can print successfully on their in-house systems

When a non-admin user (or even a power-user) tries to print the job goes to the spool queue, but it just sits there and eventually errors

I've just finished talking with HP and they say their PSC's are not set to work with anyone but admin's. Does anyone have a solution???

Greetings --

By a different printer. I wouldn't own any hardware device or
software application that requires administrative privileges for
routine use.

My usual workaround for this sort of trouble is to have one system (System
A) talk to the printer direct over IP and then have all the other systems
use a printer share on System A rather than talking direct to the printer.
Nasty kludge, and I haven't tried it with XP, only with earlier Windows
versions, but for what it's worth ...

right click on the printer and slect properties.
click over to security tab and make sure ur account is in there and it has
allow print. or add everyone to it.
