one speaker on my headsett's work but the other dont, how to use m

one of my speakers on my headsett is working but the other arent, i have
tryed to adjust the balance of them in the volumecontroll. but still i dount
hear sound from the side of the damidge speaker!!! plz help
PS: I use Windows XP HOME...

First, try to rule out a hardware problem. Use the headphones on another PC
(or other source that uses the same style plug) to see if the headphones are
damaged.
