one email account, two computers

I'm trying to set up an existing email account on a new computer using MS
Mail. The old computer is still set up to access the same email account. i
can send email from the new machine but have not been able to receive.

Is this because the old machine is downloading the emails from the server
first and this can only be done once? Or should it be possible for two
machines to access the same account and therefore there is some other
problem?

Any ideas??

You would have to set the primary PC mail app, to leave a copy on the
server, in order for them to be also downloaded to the secondary PC
Or not use the mail app on the primary PC

If your email host supports it, you could use imap. It sounds like you are
using pop3. If you need to use pop3 then the message from DL should help.

Actually the OP would need to make that change on both computers
since there is no way of telling which one will download a
particular email first.

Fabs, go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced,
enable "Leave a copy of messages on server." Also select one or both
of the two associated 'remove' options.
Do this on both computers.

This newsgroup doesn't offer help with Incredimail. It offers help with the
Windows Mail program instead.

However, pop3 isn't a valid server name, so you probably need to ask
your email provider for the correct server names, and set the correct names.
