I am switching from 98SE to XP and am having a problem switching between
home and office networks. I seem to need to run the Wizard each time.

Is there a way for me to store my configuration for "Joe" on "work"
workgroup so I can select it while at work, and another configuration for
"Dad" on "home" workgroup?

Maybe it is only because i am testing on my home network, that i cant see
the work configuration?

Why do i get a Norton Protection error reading drive C after i have tried
to move from one network to the other? Permissions are set to allow access
to the drive.

You should see the option - it's alternate configuration - and as for your
Norton I have no idea... I do not use Symantec products for various reasons
that I don't think you want me to go into as they're all personal reasons
really. *chuckles* You can use it all you'd like and I will not, for one
minute, deny that they products tend to do a good job. But I know nothing
about Norton at all other than sort of how to uninstall it.

Considering that all three (in addition to home and office, I have a sister
in law who we visit who lets me on her network) networks use DHCP, they
will be configured the same. First, can i configure more than 2? And
secondly, is there a way to associate a username/password pair with a
specific computer description/name? Can I be Dad on my own network,
GoofOff on the network at work, and BIL on my sister-in-law's network?
without having to run the network config wizard each time i move from
network to network? I think this will probably solve my problem, because
at work, i also need to logon to a domain.
