i would like to try the windows live one care but am running the mcafee
antivirus program can i just shut down the mcafee or do i need to totally
uninstall it to run the windows one care

You would need to totally uninstall McAfee, but I don't suggest doing
this. I'm not fond of McAfee, but Windows One Care antivirus has one of
the lowest catch rates in the industry. You'd be far better off to stick
with McAfee.

Recommended av's are Kaspersky, NOD32, and Avast!.
