On screen display keeps popping up

Hi, I'm not sure what happened but the family computer keeps having the on
screen display main menu pop up. Is there some way to disable the OSD and
stop it from constantly blocking the screen?
 
The On-screen display is powered by third-party software. OEMs such as
Dell/Compaq/HP pre-install the OSD software with their systems. See if
uninstalling the software helps.

Hi, I was just wondering where to look for the software. What kind of folder
would I find it in? Thanks, you've been helpful.
 
Perhaps you need to clarify just what OSD is displaying?

Is it the montor's configuration menu? Or do you mean the display of
keyboard state changes (caps lock/num lock) and volume setting?

These two are controlled by very different mechanisms.
