My previous 2 windows installations still pop-up at computer startup where I
have to pick the first choice of wait 30 seconds. Can I get rid of the other
choices so my current installation of Windows XP starts right up?
thanks!

remove them from boot.ini

you can access that from msconfig

Thanks but how do I make the changes permanent? When I delete the lines in
boot.ini under msconfig, it reboots the system and brings me back to MSconfig
and asks if I want to use "Normal statup" or "selective startup."

thanks!!!!

alright go into your boot.ini file and delete the other two
installations from the text. then after u close the boot.ini file u can
also take the check out of "time to dispaly list..." and make sure that
the installation u want to boot into is selected as the default. after u
do all of this apply and ok the windows and then re-open them to make
sure the changes stick.

I'd assume you'd want normal startup

msconfig dialog should have a box to check so you won't see it again
