OL2K will not open .msg attachment

Hank

I have one computer out of 5 having this problem.
OS is WinXP
Outlook 2000
Exchange Server 5.5

When this user receives a forwarded message from any AOL
user and opens the message OL shows error "Could not open
one or more attachments." If the same message is sent to
this user and others in house, others can open it and
read with no problems. Attachments are .msg files,
typically 2 to 6 nested levels of forwarding like you
often see with AOL messaging users.
Tried turning off attachment security. Also turned off
anti-virus software. Scoured MS knowledgebase to no
avail.

If you have a suggestion please post. Thanks

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Hank asked:

Thank you Milly, but I've been there and done that with
no effect. I installed the updates and checked the file
versions and dates, they are OK. Also this article seems
to refer to someone who can open the .msg attachment in
OL2K, but then can not forward it to others.
Any other suggestions?
