Outlook 2003 will not open outlook .msg attachemnts

I have recently not been able to open outlook .msg file attachments. I
suspect some sort of security update killed the capacity to do this. If I
click on the attachment and try to open it, the dialog box goes away and the
message attachment doesn't open. I have poked around in the KB, but don't
see any sort of fix for this.

Either uninstall Google Desktop search or disable its indexing of Outlook files.

Milly,

I tried that with no success. Do I have to delete the Google Desktop index
files to make it work?

Thanks,
EG
