OL2007 on Vista clears the clipboard when a new email is started

Ok, this is not exactly life and death, but if anyone has time...

I just started using a Vista machine with Outlook 2007. I am in the habit
of composing email text using a favorite keyboard-based text editor on which
I am very fast, and then pasting the text into the email window. So I...

(1) Compose the text in the text editor.
(2) Copy the text.
(3) Open a new email in Outlook.
(4) Paste the text into the email.

However now step (4) doesn't work, because the copied text is no longer in
the clipboard after step (3). I have to reverse steps (3) and (2). I do this
many times a day so it's a bit of an annoyance.

So it would be a convenience if I could convince Outlook not to zap the
clipboard when a new email is started. Any thoughts on how to do this?
Thanks for any help.

I can't reproduce this.

Try this. Exit outlook, go to Start - Run and run outlook /safe and then
try steps 1-4. Does it still fail?

It works fine if I do that. I assume that i have a rogue plugin or
somesuch?

Possibly. I'd start with Tools - Trust Center - Add-ins and disabling
everything, restarting, trying again, see if it works and if it does, start
enabling one by one... Painful, but that's troubleshooting.

It was "eDataSecurity Outlook Add-in" from the manufacturer, Acer. I don't
know how it got installed because I installed Office after I bought the
machine. Anyway, I can definitely live without it.

I appreciate the help!
