OL2007 doesn't show incoming mails automatically

Hi,
upgraded from 2002 to 2007 and I am generally happy but there is a really
annoying "new function" in OL2007. When new mail arrives, the counter next
to "Inbox" is counting uppwards but the mails doesn't show in the mail list
window, I have to switch to some other function such as Calendar and then
back to Inbox to make the mails appear. Really annoying, is it by design?
Can I do something about it?

No, that is not how it is supposed to be. Which mail account type are you
using?

I have about six POP3 accounts set up.
If you haven't done already, I would highly recommend to recreate your
mail profile after any upgrade. This will take away a lot of small issues
like these.

I'll try that. Is there any problem with keeping the 2002 PST file or should
I "Import/Copy/??" it if possible to a fresh 2007 file?

make a new pst - outlook 2002 pst format is limited to 2 GB file size and
outlook 2007 is virtually unlimited (but defaults to 20 GB).
