Acording to Norton. (The people you buy anti virus software from! ) I must
have accepted an activeX or someting, so its my fault and they want £70 to
have one of their experts fix the problem. Told them it would be cheaper to
buy another computer .
Anyway, i am getting popups and have a flashing triangle in the task bar.
Popups telling me to buy software to stop popups. If i could get my hands on
them they would never popup again. (This must be demanding money with
menace) Norton say my registry is affected and the world will come to an end
if i dont pay them to sort it.
Can anyone advise me either where to look for the files, or if registry
repair software will fix the problem.

Thank you for trying to help.
There would apear to be an industry set up to "Help" people who fall foule
of the scammers who set traps for people like me.
I have no proof but is is a potential "Gold Mine" the only problem is i
suspect the Major players in the field may even be instiugating the fraud.
If not they are definitely making a profit from it.
I get a Virus (having paid Norton to stop me getting one ) It threatens me
with impending doom, even my mariage is under threat if i dont download
software to get me out of a jam. Norton say they will help me for £70. I
told them to piss off.
System restore and all is ok
The industry is ripping people off. IMO ))

I seriously doubt it is symantec. I think what you have is in the gray area
of malware as opposed to a computer virus.
