OFT problem

Office / Outlook 2003 SP2
XP Pro SP2
Exchange 2003 STD SP2

I created a template to use when new employees are hired. Real simple. When I
send the message I just replace the user information such as username, PC name,
etc.

The template creates an HTML message that includes my sig which has a gif
attached.

Today I noticed that if I BCC the email to anyone else (an admin or the new
user's boss) the text of the message reverts back to the original template.

For instance, I replace "USERNAME" with "joeblow" and send the message. In my
Sent Items folder and in the recipient's INBOX the message has "USERNAME"
instead of "joeblow".

If I send it to the user without a BCC it works fine. If I then RESEND the
message with the BCC it works fine.

I made sure Office and XP had all the latest patches, I also did a repair to
Office.

Anyone care to take a crack at this?

Are you willing to make this template available as a download so one can
take a look at it or any code that might exist behind said form?

Sure. The attached is an edited version of the file. I just tried it and it
exhibits the same behavior. This OFT also includes my signature which normally
is added when sending the message but included here for your convenience.

Thanks for taking a look.

I haven't been able to duplicate using a cached mode connection to Exchange
2003. How do you connect to Exchange? (cached mode, traditional, rpc/https,
pop3, or imap)

Also, do you have any 3rd party extensions/tools in Exchange/Outlook? (e.g.
PDA, Fax, antivirus/antispam, .etc)

/neo

ps - I couldn't duplicate via your steps by sending the message to my gmail
account and bcc an internal exchange account.

I don't use cached mode, I use traditional mode. I have McAfee Enterprise 8
add-in as well as PGP 8.

Sorry for the long delay in replying. I have been away.
