URGENT - How do I add a CC: Recipeint in my mass email-merge?

I am not an advanced user of Outlook 2003 and need to send out mass email
messages of the same letter.
I have created an email-merge data which works fine up to that point, but
having problems sending to the CC: and BCC: fields.

How do I add a CC: or BCC: Reciepient to my mass email-merge letter. I've
already created the data containing all email reciepients. However, I also
need to add a CC: and BCC: to my bosses. But when I did a test it only went
out to the reciepients and no CC or BCC; was included.

Plus, when click on merge- email... the messages went out automatically
without prompting for a review to make any additional CC: or BCC: fields.

This is not good. I need urgent help on this please.

I don't think you can within Outlook/Word. BUT, the only way you could,
possibly, is if you created a rule to fire after sending that does the 'Cc
the message to MyBoss'. However, I'm not entirely sure that will work for a
mail merged item. Easy enough to test, of course. Create the rule, mail
merge to a small set of addresses that you can check and have it CC your own
address. If it works 100%, great, we both learned something. If it doesn't
work, well, I'm not entirely surprised. If it only works 75%, I'm not
surprised either. Rules can sometimes miss messages. Unless you're going
to write your own code to do it, you may need to look at a third party
solution at that point.

But, if your boss doesn't trust you enough to be sure that you're doing your
job, personally, I'd quit. Micromanaging of this scale is never productive
in the end. Since you mentioned bcc'ing the boss, I'm going to assume that
this isn't because the boss wants to get any and all replies to the
messages.

I don't think it will work, because mail merge doesn't go directly through Outlook in a way that would trigger rules. This would probably require a third-party tool; see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm

Sue,

Thanks for the link, but can you be more specific as to which link is the
right one for me. There are so many to chose from and it's like walking
around blind folded.

Appreciate your response.

What I was trying to point out is that there are many good third-party programs for bulk mailing. You'll need to look at the specs for each to determine which meets your exact needs.
