Offline folders

I work using my laptop from the office and home. When
connected to the network at work i can synchronize my
folders fine. When i try to synchronize at home whilst
logged on to the network over dial up i get the error
message

'Synchronization with the offline folder could not be
completed. The information store could not be opened'

i'm still connected to the company network and can access
my email surf the internet and intranet fine but cannot
sync my offline folders and calander for working offline?

Why is this? Can anyone help?

Can you ping your Exchange server by both IP address (LAN IP) and name? This
could be a name resolution issue. Have you talked to your admins at work?
