Offline Folders

I've got a problem with the Windows 2000 offline folders.
Where are the files stored on the local harddisk? After
our fileserver crashed some days ago, one user stored
data in his offline folders which seems to be lost now....

the files are stored in a folder called \winnt\CSC the folder is hidden and
protected. Note that the files are not stored in there original format.
