offline files: access denied

Hi,

I'm trying to setup offline files on my XP-Pro SP2 laptop, but no matter
which network folder I choose (even my own home share), synchronisation
reports only "access is denied" errors and nothing at all is replicated to my
offline folder. I have full access rights on all network folders and I'm
local administrator on my laptop. As an example, here's the error for
synchronising my home share. I replaced any specific names with general
option names.:

'Offline Files (\\[Fileserver]\[homeshare$] on [Fileserver]): Unable to make
[filename] available offline on \\[Fileserver\[Homeshare$]\My Documents.
Access is denied.

Any idea what is going on here ?

Yes I'm as save as I possibly can be. Up-to-date scanners and behind the
company firewall. I'm sure there's a configuration issue here, but which ?
