Hi,
Our "my documents" folder is redirected to \\server\username$ and made
available offline. When working remotely (by means of a VPN), we suffer two
problems:

1. We cannot reach other shares on the same server until folder
synchronization has succeeded. Is it possible to connect to other shares
without synchronizing ?

2. I tried to configure a reasonable treshold for the slow link detection
option. Can somebody tell me what number I can configure best for a dsl
broadband connection (download 4,4 MB) ?

We are using XP Professional SP2 in an NT4 domain structure (Active
directory will be rolled in a few months). Many thanks in advance.

Personally, I abhor offline files for this and myriad other reasons. You
might look at www.centered.com if you need client-based file
synchronization.
