Offline files - loses directory structure ?!?

Hi. Hope I got the right group...

I've got an XP Pro workstation networked to a 2003 Server.

I've enabled offline files and when I select a folder on the 2003 server for
offline use, the synchronization takes place, but does not preserve the
underlying directory structure - all the files in the folder are sync'ed over
without their containing directories.

Is this by design?

Thanks.

Sounds like you're not looking in the right place. Don't look in the offline
files cache - that will show you everything in a flat structure, and you
aren't supposed to access your files in there at all (don't play around
w/it). Instead, click on the drive mapping/UNC path that shows up in
Explorer (the one you made available offline). That will show you everything
in the proper tree/hieirarchy.
