I have a laptop that used to have a folder synchronized to a network drive.
This way I could access many of my commonly used files on the road. Anyway,
I had used this laptop on the road almost exclusively for several months and
wanted to turn off synchronization (I didn't need the laptop files on the
network drive or vice versa). When I turned off synchronization, all the
previously synchronized folders on my laptop disapeared. I can't find the
folders or any of the data! I assumed that de-linking them (or whatever)
would stop synchronization but would leave me with the files I had on the
laptop. I did not expect (and there were no warning messages!!) that the
previously synchronized folder would dissapear.
While I haven't been able to find the folders or data, I've noticed that my
free disk space hasn't gone up, leading me to believe that the data is in
there somewhere.
Any tips on how to recover? Thanks!
