Offline address book not syncing with Outlook 2007 clients (Cached

Hello,

We are having a problem with our Exchange Orginization and syncing the
offline address book. When Outlook clients are in cached mode, they are not
receiving any of the new changes made to the address book even if they click
on "Download Address Book" in the send/receive options.

Even if I go to the server and use the cmdlet (Exchange 2007):

Update-OfflineAddressBook -Identity "Global Address List"

None of our Outlook clients get the new changes if they are in cached-mode.
If I put the Outlook client in Exchange mode (viz remove the little
checkmark), the client sees the changes on the Address Book. Please help.
Thank you.

When you delete all the oab files on the client, do the changes display
then?
If not, your issue is at Exchange level and not at Outlook level.

Yes, when I remove the OAB files on the client, the new changes are seen in
the Address List.

In that case, you'll probably see all the changes on the other computers
automatically in about 24 hours.
If not, it could be that 1 (or more) published OAB has caused the client OAB
to become corrupted somehow. You could consider using a logon script to wipe
the oab-files from the client computers so you are sure they will download a
fresh copy.

I tried clearing all the OAB files on the client. All was fine until I went
to "Download Address" book; when I did, Outlook returned to the previous
state with no new users showing up on the address list. I did notice
something on exchange server in the ExchangeOAB directory. The last modified
date for one of the GUID directories is August 26, 2009, about the time we
encountered the address book problem.
