H

Henk Stekelenburg

When I try to reinstall Office 2000 on a Windows 2000 terminal server,
in Install mode true add and remove programs with a transformsfile.
Path off the transformsfile T:\SETUP.EXE TRANSFORMS="S:\TERMSRVR.MST"
I also use Windows Installer Cleaner, so maybe it
delete something that I need

I receive two
error`s in the event viewer
Here's my two errors messages

First

I've also been having probelms getting Office 2000 to install. I launched
the Add/Remove Programs applet from the control panel, and then clicked on
"Add New Programs" and then on the "CD or Floppy" button. I browsed
setup.exe on the cd-rom drive, which put e:\setup.exe in the box. After
leaving a space, I typed TRANSFORMS="c:\transform\termsrvr.mst" (Earlier I
had saved the termsrvr.mst file to a directory I created on the c: drive
called transform). I verified the path repeated - even browsed to it with
windows explorer and highlighted the path in the address bar and used
coontrol-c to copy it to eliminate any chance of a typographical error. It
will start to kick off the install, and then I will get a message stating
that the path to the transfor is invalid. I have tried saving the transform
to the root of c and putting it in other directories to no avail. In order
to get a better idea of what was going on, I appended the /l switch to get a
log. It produced some really bizarre output about transform files that I
absolutely did not specify in the path - I don't even know how they got
there. I pasted some of the file below:
Transform C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1.SER\LOCALS~1\Temp\1\ecf532.mst
invalid for package C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1.SER\LOCALS~1\Temp\1\ecf531.msi.
Expected upgrade code {77470B10-4927-11D2-B5FE-006097C998E7},
found {77470B12-4927-11D2-B5FE-006097C998E7}.

Any thought? I'm about to pull my hair out!!!
Thanks!

I have the exact same issue!!!

Yes I am in administrative mode.

I tried the following
"c:\program files\office\cd1\setup.exe" TRANSFORMS="C:\Program
Files\ORKTools\ToolBox\Tools\Terminal Server Tools\TERMSRVR.MST"

f:\setup.exe TRANSFORMS="C:\Program Files\ORKTools\ToolBox\Tools\Terminal
Server Tools\TERMSRVR.MST"

setup.exe TRANSFORMS="C:\Program Files\ORKTools\ToolBox\Tools\Terminal
Server Tools\TERMSRVR.MST" /qn+

"c:\program files\office\cd1\setup.exe" TRANSFORMS="C:\TERMSRVR.MST"

And just about every other combination you can think of.

I get the same error each time
