Office97, Office2000, and ServicePack2

Office97 and Office 2000 is installed on a windows 2000 terminal server. I
tried to update office97 with service pack 2 (I was able to update with
service pack 1). I received a message that it could not be upgraded because
of multiple copies of office on the server. We have some applications that
use office97 with sp2.

I tried upgrading and the install mode, did not work. Any suggestions on how
to get this to work?

I am afraid that this could turn out to be very difficult, if at
all possible. Parallel installations of Office are explicitly *not*
supported on a Terminal Server.
I believe that the only way to update Office 97 is to uninstall all
versions of Office, install Office97 including SP2, and then re-
install Office 2000.

Microsoft Office on a Terminal Server. Coexistence is not supported
on versions of Windows that are running Terminal Services. If you
have to run multiple versions of Office, disable Terminal
Services."
