Office XP SP3 meddling

I recently installed Office XP SP3 and I am glad to say it
fixed some glitches I've been having. However, it did one
very offensive thing: it switched my default email handler
from Outlook Express to Outlook, and even replaced my OE
shortcuts (on the desktop and taskbar) by Outlook
shortcuts! That's really unexcusable meddling in the way
I wish to run my computer!

Well when I installed SP3 it did nothing of the sort.
