Office Compatibility Pack SP1

I recently installed Office Compatibility Pack (SP1, KB940289) and Office
2003 SP3 (KB923618) on my laptop (HP Pavilion, Windows XP) and it wiped out
everything in Outlook, connection settings, address book, inbox, etc.

Any ideas on how to recover these?

That must be more of an coincidence and something else must have caused
this. Did you perhaps also initiated a repair on Office 2003 with a reset of
the settings?
Anyway, you can configure your account settings via Control Panel-> Mail

Yes I initiated a repair. Is my inbox and contact list still retrievable?

Should be. Go to the folder where the pst's are stored and copy your old pst
before you make a new profile.
