sorry, I could not find any overall Office xp forum to post this.

somewhere I read there is a microsoft program where people who use office at
work can get a copy to use at home for a very low price. i think its called
the 'work-at-home' program or something similar.

anyone know anything about this? is this something I'd contact Microsoft
about or my employer?

Given that Microsoft no longer sells Office XP (and hasn't since Office 2003
was released in October of 2003), I doubt very much that you'll find
anything out about this anymore.

You might try asking in microsoft.public.office.misc, though.

The "Work-at-Home" program, in my experience, is actually offered thru your
company. E.G. My company has Office and XP installed on our machines. If I
want a copy at home I use a link provided by Microsoft and purchase a copy
and pay a nominal fee for Office 2003.

So in short if your company does not offer this discount, Again IMO, you are
outta luck.
