office powerpoint messing up

worked fine, now all of a sudden it won't open up several .pps e-mails it
says..."this file does not have a program associated with it for performing
this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel."
How do I do what it asks...

Hi,
This newsgroup is for MS Access, the database software.
You can try this however, to see if it works.
Save the attachments to your computer, start up power point and from the
File menu, choose Open and browse to the file you just saved. It should open it.

Thanks for your time and effort...although I don't understand why it quit
working properly, your knowledge has allowed me to open up the attachments.
