office outlook 2003 not responding

i get an error whcih states the following
" cannot start microsoft office outlook. Unable to open
the outlook window. The set of folders could not be
opened. The server is not available. "

I am using xp home and it is a stand alone computer.

Has anybody had this error.

Under Control Panel->Mail Icon, what do you show as installed mail account
type(s)?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, kevin asked:
