Office docs opening slow with vb.net app

I have a vb.net app and when I run it - any office doc with contents in it
opens after 20-30 seconds. But If I open any empty office application like
word or excel from the start menu - it opens fine but not if has contents in
it.

Any idea -

Are you using late or early binding? Late binding will be slower.
