I have a computer running XP Home with Office 2007 Standard, and am
wondering if I can install Powerpoint 2003 in conjunction with it, or will
it not be compatible?

thanks,

One or the other, not both.

yes you can. But you might have to uninstall PowerPoint 2007 first, before
you install PP 2003.

He certainly can install Powerpoint 2003 and 2007 at the same time.
I rephrase, you can but you shouldn't.

The date and time was 2/5/2008 10:23 AM, and on a whim, Colin Barnhorst
pounded out on the keyboard:

Not without problems for some:

I had the same issue last week on a client laptop. Now Outlook launches
the installer every time it opens. Even when it completes whatever it's
doing, it launches the next time. This setup was Office 2003 and Project
2007 installed later.

Why? Many people do with no problems at all - in fact there's an MS KB
article that tells you how to do it...

thanks, I found this KB article, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091
it seems to say that it can be done, but that I'd have to install every
version of Office in the order described before it would work. I didn't
have PP2007 installed, only Word and Excel, but to add PP2003 would require
me to uninstall 2007 first, install 2003 then 2007 again..

so, think I'll pass, but it was worth looking into.

thanks for all the responses.
