Office 2007 Access import failure

I am trying to import a 5 million delimited text file into Access
2007.

I get the following:

Error message :

Cannot open database". It may not be a database that you application
recognizes, or a the file may be corrupt.

I can import 38000 subset but Access chokes at 5 million record size.
Excel stops at about 1 million records.

How do I get this file into Access?
