I did a restore of a backup and inadvertently included the System State. Now
when I open Outlook, after the first email is downloaded and the next message
tries to download, Outlook shuts down and says it needs to restart. This is
the error I found in my event viewer:

Application outlook.exe
Application Version 11.0.8169.0
Application Stamp 465f28e3
Module ntdll.dll
Module Version 5.1.2600.2180
Module Stamp 411096b4
Debug 0
Offset 00001010

I have Office Small Business Edition 2003, SP3. Any suggestions on how to
fix? I couldn't find the error message in the knowledge base. Thanks!

Presumably Kaspersky the anti virus? then what specifically is the component
of Norton

Yes the anti virus. Norton was Internet Security. But both are removed.
They were not installed when I had the problem. I'm pretty sure it's
something to do with the restore from backup that I did and I'm missing some
sort of file to make Outlook run.

Then tried running an Office / OL repair, from the cd or the add/remove
dialogue?
PS NIS also has an anti virus component, running this together with
Kaspersky will cause problems
