Office 2003 & Norton I/S 2004

I have XP Professional and recently installed Office 2003 (w/Outlook). A
few days later, I installed Norton Internet Security 2004 with the antispam
plugin. Now, when I attempt to accesss Outlook, it shuts down with a C++
runtime error stating the Outlook.exe has requested the runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way. I can get into Outlook after shutdown, but it tells
me Outlook experienced a serious error the last time the add-in 'Norton
Antispam Outlook Plugin' was opened asks me if I wish to disable it. THe
dll is msouplug.dll.

Is there a compentent solution available? How about an updated dll that
works properly?

Thanks.

Try asking Symantec. They are the only ones that can update their
software to be compatible.

FWIW, their software also crashes Outlook when some Outlook COM addins
are used. Again it's something they are doing in their software. I'm
just starting to work with them on this problem, since they crash
Outlook with my addins.

Hi Ken,

Can you talk to them about the problem with "common client update" It won't
update and will crash the program. I've had to reinstall twice now.

Thanks
Regards,

Werner

If they ever get back to me again I'll mention it, but you probably
would be better off filing a complaint directly with them.

I will tell you this, if Symantec can't do a better job on their add-ins or
their support, they can expect their sale to decline. I can't believe thier
website. You get no real help. I don't need them and will purchase other
products. SA proxy....
