Office 2000 doesn't work

I just upgraded to XP from Me. Internet & all programs -
EXCEPT Office 2000 Pro- work OK. When I try to use any
Office program I get this message:

This application must be installed to run. Please run
Setup from the location where you originally installed
the application.

What does that mean?? I used the Windows install cleanup
as per one of the trouble shooting tips but no programs
were listed to cleanup.

Pleas help ASAP.

Check to see if Office is in Add/Remove Programs.
Reboot
Uninstall Office
Reboot
Reinstall Office
If the above fails, try one of the Office newsgroups.
