How do I control the number of posts that are saved? Currently, in this NG,
I have posts as far back as 11/3/03. I have "Get 50 headers at a time" set
if that has anything to do with it. Probably have a few hundred right now.
Thanks.

Bruce,
Don't know if this will help but I 'flush out' posts on a regular basis by
'right click' on newsgroup - select 'Properties' - select 'Local File' -
select 'Delete'.
This newsgroup is running at around 1500 posts per day I think, so even my
'get 400 headers' is only scratching the surface.
hope this helps............. Inky

thanks....try to do my best.
I find a list of instructions easier to read and follow
then a long sentence. I am fan of author George Eliot
but simple is better. SilasMarner is my favorite novel
and even named my dog Eppie (vet thought that was strange
name for dog)

Anyway a list is how you see recipes in cookbooks and
works real good for computer instructions. wish there
could be standard method.

Did what is below, I think. Looks like both rules the same. Anyhow. applied
rule, took about 30 seconds for the rule to complete. Checked the NG's and
nothing has changed. Rebooted and still no change.???
