OEM Windows home & activation problem

Guest

I had recently rebuilt my comp. I got an OEM Windows XP home edition, which I
activated over the phone. I didn't have any problems with the activation -
the message I got said that the activation was successfull. The day the
activation deadline would have expired, Windows wouldn't load, and I'm unable
to access my hard drive. Anyone has any pointers what my options are? (I
cannot access my activation code, since Windows won't load.) Worst come wost,
I'd wipe my hard drive and try to re-install Windows, but I don't know how to
do it with bypassing Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This does not sound like anything to do with Activation.
If you do not get any messages about activation, that is not the issue.

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select "Last known good configuration" at the menu.
If that fails to resolve it, reboot again tapping F8 and this time try Safe
Mode.
Then System Restore to Date/Time before all this happened:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

Otherwise perform a Repair Installation:
