OEM to volume?

We have had a OEM image of our Dell workstations just the way we want it.
Every time we image a machine, we would enter a the license key from that
machine. Now we have a volume key and media from Microsoft and would like
to sysprep it with that key. Is there a way to convert our existing OEM XP
install to volume so we can run sysprep with the vol key and have it
accepted during mini setup?
 
No, but you can run a repair install on one of the OEM pro machines with the
vl cd and key, then sysprep that machine and create a new image file for
deployment.
