Dell OEM and Ghosting

I just recently started with a company that has over 500 systems. They
configure one dell system with the required company software then image
that system to the remaining ones with out installing our volume copy
license of XP pro. So we have 500 systems with the same OEM license as
our original one. We own the appropriate amount of volume licenses for
the systems, but the OEM versions are the ones installed. Are we in
violation with our licenses? What the since of having OEM licenses and
Volume Licenses?

I don't have that answer, but if you were to extract the product key from a
Dell OEM XP install, you will notice that it does not match the product key
on the sticker anyway.
As far as legality, I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the subject will
be along shortly.
