OE trouble

I recently had to uninstall Outlook Express.
Now...wanting to download it again I had to install
(download) Internet Explorer 6 first. I now can not find
out how to download and install OE from this point. I've
tried everything and everywhere I know.
Please help. I am only somewhat computer savy... LOL.

Hi,

Download? For either, to reinstall go to the C:\Windows\Inf folder (you must
have folder options/view set to see hidden and operating system files for
this)

For Internet Explorer, locate ie.inf
For Outlook Express, locate msoe50.inf

Right-click the file, choose install.

Hi,

To make the process easier than following the article:

Enable Reinstallation of Internet Explorer or OE (Line 114)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

After running this edit, rename the CatRoot2 folder (Windows\CatRoot2) and
then go to Start/Run and enter
%SystemRoot%\Inf. Locate the MSOE50.INF file. Right click it and select
Install.
