OE missed inbox folder

Hello
yesterday after deleting message, containing virus, I've received report my Outlook Express 6 "has not incorrectly shut down". After I opened it today I noticed there is no any message in my inbox folder. All they are missed, but Adress book and other folders are OK. At first I've looked to deleted messages folder, it contains messages, but not these from the inbox. I've tried to look for the lost messages via *.dbx, but received this: C\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{72740160-93C8-11BE-8DOC-9F8520A7A76F3}\Microsoft\Outlook Express \Inbox.dbx was not a valid path fil
OE recovery programs didn't help
Many thanx for any suggestions how to recover lost emails
P.S. My OS is Win 98. Antivirus AVG from www.grisoft.com If it can be important as information, yesterday I emptied Recycle bin
