migrating from OE to Outlook 2007

OK!! After the upgrade from OE to Outlook 2007, which imports messages,
folders,
etc... just fine, OL recieves all messages again(in duplicate). I have the
OE settings
turned on for "keep a copy of messages on the server", and "remove from
server when deleted from deleted items", and do not plan on continuing the
use of OE. The mail server is IMAIL8.20-POP3/SMTP.
How can I migrate from OE to Outlook 2007, keeping all messages and folders
in tact,
without 'core dumping' all messages on server back to my OL INBOX????
