OE Loads Slowly

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP1 with IE6 and all
available updates installed. A few days ago, with no
changes or updates made to or installed on the computer
that I am aware of, Outlook Express now suddenly takes
over 45 seconds to load. What could be causing the
problem?

Thanks for the link, Gerry! The problem was that I
disabled Windows Messenger in the Group Policy Editor
some time ago. When I re-enabled it, OE starts up just
fine. Another problem solved with the expertise in these
newsgroups.
