OE File Attachment Message

I recently sent myself some files which are required to
setup Lotus Notes on my home computer. When I viewed the
message in Outlook Express the following message relates
to the file attachements "OE removed access to the
following unsafe attachments; NAMES.NSF, XXXX.id,
NOTES.INI" My question is how do I access the file
attachemnts to download?

try a google search on "unsafe attachments". You'll get about *90,000* hits.

Here is a possible answer. It has been pointed out to me
that any OE questions should be addressed to the
Windows/windows "x"/OE news groups.
Here is a possible answer for you.
Error: "OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your mail" when opening email

Situation:
After installing Norton AntiVirus (NAV), you notice that
whenever you receive email with an attachment, you see the
message "OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your mail." You cannot open the attachment.

Solution:
This message is generated when a security option in
Outlook Express (OE) 6.0 has been enabled. That option
denies access to email attachments that could be
malicious. The message is not caused by NAV Email Scanning.

To uncheck the security option in OE

Open OE 6.0.
Click Tools, point to Options, and then click the Security
tab.
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened
that could potentially be a virus."
Click OK.
