OE and Manage Identities Password(s)

HELP! Apparently when I first set up OE on my new computer system, I entered
a password. That was over a year ago and now the "Manage Identities" pop-up
window is coming up and I DON'T REMEMBER THE PASSWORD!! Is there anyway
around this?

Why is this asking now after it's been well over a year?!!

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). They usually
will reset the password to a generalized word, and then you
will change it afterwards. Generally this problem is cause
by the ISP's server corrupting your password as stored on
their server.

I'd consider that being the issue, but I can access my messages through
Outlook which is on my laptop. Wouldn't the change in the password affect
both programs?

Now I'm guessing. There may be two places that the cookies
are stored, one for Outlook and one for OE which amy have
been deleted or corrupted. Maybe the OE gurus who hang out
here could help:

Now that could be a possibility. I ran both Ad-Aware and SpyBot and removed
"cookies." In reality, if I have to create a new identity, then I'll do it.
The OE acts as a backup email system to my Outlook. If I loose copies of
the emails that were on that system when I downloaded the messages, it's not
that big of a deal. Guess I'm more frustrated that I can't remember what the
blessed password is! I'm sure I wrote it down somewhere ...
