I click send/receive and retrive incoming mail but the same messages
continue to com into the inbox each time i click send/receive. I've deleted
all incoming messages and deleted them from the deleted folder but the next
time I click send/receive those same messages return to the inbox. I've
deleted the incoming dbx folder but the condition remains the same. Any help
will be appreciated.

I suggest you ask the experts in an OE newsgroup.

Here's my help: Ask in a group with OUTLOOK EXPRESS or OE in the
title. Notice this group LACKS that.

Ask elsewhere

Post to microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general.

Most likely cause - Outlook is set to retain mail on the Server - check
Tools>Accounts>Mail tab - select "properties" of your mail account - select
"advanced tab" chek "delivery" at bottom.

[Problem resolved by closing OE and deleting POP3uidl.dbx from the message
store.]
