Odd problem with OutlookXP

I have an IMAP e-mail account that I synch with Outlook XP. Recently, it
has begun behaving oddly. The IMAP account is included in my "All
Accounts" group, along with 2 POP accounts. Used to be that when I clicked
"Send/Receive" (or on startup) all three accounts would be checked for send
and receive and new e-mail in the 2 POP accounts would go to my inbox and
new mail in the IMAP account would be downloaded into the local IMAP inbox.
But recently this changed. The POP accounts still function normally but
Outlook doesn't even check my IMAP account unless I click on one of the
folders in teh folder list or the IMAP/Inbox shortcut on the shortcut bar.
I clicked the thumbtack in the check mail progress dialog box and so I know
that Outlook isn't even checking the IMAP. It will list both POP accounts
but not the IMAP during a send/receive. Anyone have any ideas why this is
happening? How to fix? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nevermind. I fixed it. I deleted the account and then re-created it and
now it works just fine.
