Odd Logon message

In XPpro, in the general logon screen (where it lists the different user
accounts) under my name (Administrator) it says that I have 7 email messages.
This is where you would normally get the message that you had whatever many
programs running.
Firstly, I don't remember asking Windows to do this. Secondly, I can't find
a pick to shut it off and Thirdly, it doesn't update correctly. I do not
HAVE any emails in my mailbox at this time.
Is this coming from Outlook (2002) or from a previous use of Outlook Express
before I got Office?
I want it to stop! How do I make it stop?
I know I'm whinning but it's annoying especially when it's incorrect.

Download tweakui, one of the MS Powertoys. Look in there for a setting
to not display email messages on the welcome screen. Also see this link:
