Odd Cartridge Failure??

When my 97 cartridge runs low or out of ink, usually most nozzles will not
print and a fill-up permits continued use of the cartridge.

While printing some photos, all the nozzles stopped printing at the same
time. After filling, every one of the magenta nozzles continued not to
work. It's as if the magenta nozzles simultaneously stopped. I did warm
water rinse, cold and warm reset of the printer and other things I could
think of.

Isn't it unusual that all nozzles ceased to function at the same time? I
would have thought that at least some would show operation.

This cartridge as been filled 4 times with Vivera inks. Printer is HP
Deskjet 6980. (Time for a new cartridge.)

HP does my fillups so I do not have these problem.

Solved my own problem.....covered all fill holes except one magenta
hole.......blew on it until magenta came out of the nozzles......then the
cartridge worked back to normal. It tooked quite a bit to get the magenta
to start to flfow. For some reason, the magenta nozzles all acted as if
they were plugged.

Most likely you have an air bubble in the standpipe of the cartridge,
blocking the flow of ink.

It is not likely that you have refilled with Vivera inks, as this is HP's
brand and not available except installed in HP cartridges.

I must have blown out the air bubble in the standpipe as you mentioned. The
cartridge now is working perfectly.

and now your lips are red. you will be poisoned by the ink and die. if
you had bought a real HP cartridge instead of relabeled ink you would
still be alive.
