ODBC system datasource corrupt - help

B

Bill

I have an ODBC system DSN configured in Windows XP to connect to SQL Server
2000. I am getting an error saying that the datasource is corrupt and when
I try to delete the entry in the registry, it says that the key is corrupt.
I cannot rename it or delete. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid
of this key and recreate it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If I try to remove or configure the data source from ODBC data source
administrator I get a message saying the "DSNname is not an existing data
source name."

Can you re-install the MDAC? (Microsoft Data Access Components). I've seen
our ODBC connection go bad before, and you can't delete it or anything.
Re-installing the MDAC seems to fix it again. However, I don't know where
you go to get what you need to do a re-install.
